During the ‘80s, rock had become completely segregated and predictable – the opposite of the late '60s/early '70s, with acts like Jimi Hendrix, Sly & the Family Stone, and Santana ruling the Earth. Living Colour helped break down the doors, leading to a much more open-minded musical landscape that would pave the way for bands like 311, Lenny Kravitz, Rage Against the Machine, Sevendust, etc.
A band less interested in fame and glory and more interested in being inspired by people getting together, letting their guards down, and making something happen, Living Colour challenges the boundaries of rock performance. To see them in such an intimate space as StageOne will be like watching fireworks from inside the fireworks.
